The Analyst Ecommerce (Online Merchandise)r will be responsible for the technical execution of the product catalog maintenance (i.e. new product creation, product attributing), facilitating with IT team where necessary, and will execute the strategic vision and corporate objectives for the Luxottica North America optical e-commerce websites (LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Target Optical, ContactsDirect, Glasses). This role will rely on individual technical skills and with partial consulting from the global counterparts to drive the ecommerce product and merchandising strategy and will partner with Ecommerce, Marketing, Analytics, and Product teams to align and execute merchandising initiatives. The individual must be highly creative and possess strong web merchandising skills.


  • Drive e-commerce sales and margin through merchandising initiatives

  • Create new product merchandising pages for specific categories of products and marketing initiatives

  • Ensure that the existing product catalogue is up to date with the latest released products, best-selling models, seasonal rotation and the marketing calendar

  • Find and contribute fixing possible bugs appearing on the existing product catalogue

  • Daily engagement with team to evaluate top/bottom selling styles and refine go-forward plan for site and marketing content

  • Propose and implement A/B testing experiments for merchandise to increase conversion

  • Review and provide insight to business owners on daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s

  • manages visual merchandising strategy in order to drive conversion and sales through online merchandising strategies and execution

  • Manages the product setup process, product navigation, onsite search and products cross sells

  • Accurately launch products to the site according to delivery dates and business needs

  • partners with key stakeholders to tie messaging to web product assortment and selling needs

  • Work with Corporate Team to evaluate and test new website features


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 1-2 years’ experience working within e-commerce with focus on online merchandising

  • Good knowledge of WCS platform (IBM Websphere Commerce Management Center); familiarity with Adobe Scene7, Monetate and Broadleaf as preferred skills

  • Knowledge of search ranking and optimization factors and key algorithm updates

  • Ability to develop and analyze financial/business data

  • Strong analytical approach in understanding and harnessing the power of web analytics

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment; flexible to accommodate demanding project schedules

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

  • Proficient in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc
