GENERAL FUNCTION

The Director Employee Engagement will lead the development and implementation of all internal engagement marketing and communication strategies, recognition programs and events in collaboration with functional leaders. Focus is on improving culture and employee engagement. This position will also be responsible for identifying and implementing metrics to measure performance in these areas and to develop action plans and objectives to continuously improve.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop long-term strategies and sponsor key initiatives to promote and achieve a culture of service excellence and employee engagement within our retail stores, field leadership and corporate office.

  • Lead strategy for employee feedback through focus groups, surveys, town halls, one-on-one interviews, and other methodology; evaluate and apply the data to support decisions and execute action plans

  • Develop and execute annual budgets and proposals, timelines and creative design to increase employee engagement and to sustain the employee culture

  • Develop and execute the production of internal communications, events and program materials, for the purpose of communicating engagement information to employees

  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure engagement initiatives support the customer journey messaging

  • Develop employee recognition strategies to include reviewing, evaluating and making recommendations for recognition programs

  • Strategically collaborate with and build relationships across functional divisions

  • Assess and analyze targeted stakeholders to enable strategic design and implementation of initiatives.

  • Research, evaluate and select vendors according to requirements aligned with the request for proposal

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in Employee Engagement, including 3+ years in management capacity

  • 5+ years’ experience in communications role

  • Knowledge of recognition platforms

  • Knowledge of engagement survey process

  • Event planning experience

  • Prior experience developing and deploying an employee engagement strategy across a large organization

  • Ability to work autonomously and act independently

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
